2. Promotion

Sales promotion is a trade promotion activity of traders to promote the purchase and sale of goods and the provision of services by giving customers certain benefits.

Traders conducting promotions are traders in one of the following cases:

Traders have the right to organize promotions themselves or hire traders providing promotional services to conduct promotions for them. However, representative offices of traders are not allowed to promote or hire other traders to conduct promotions in Vietnam for the traders they represent.

3. Trade fairs and exhibitions

According to the 2005 Commercial Law, trade fairs and exhibitions are trade promotion activities conducted centrally over a period of time and at a certain location for traders to display and introduce goods and services. services for the purpose of promoting and finding opportunities to conclude goods purchase and sale contracts and service contracts.

Traders have the right to directly organize and participate in trade fairs and exhibitions for the goods and services they trade or hire traders providing trade fair and exhibition services to do so.

Representative offices of traders are not allowed to directly organize or participate in trade fairs and exhibitions.

Foreign traders are allowed to participate (although not directly organize their own) trade fairs and exhibitions in Vietnam. Foreign traders can only organize trade fairs and exhibitions in Vietnam by hiring traders providing this service in Vietnam to do so. Trade fairs and exhibitions held in Vietnam must be registered and must be confirmed in writing by state management agencies.

4. Display and introduce goods and services

Displaying and introducing goods and services is a trade promotion activity of traders using goods, services and documents about goods and services to introduce those goods and services to customers.

Traders have the right to display and introduce goods and services; Choose appropriate forms of display and introduction; Organize or hire traders to provide goods and service display and introduction services to display and introduce their goods and services.

Representative offices of traders are not allowed to directly display and introduce goods and services of the traders they represent, except for display and introduction at the headquarters of that Representative Office.

Foreign traders, who are not allowed to operate commercially and want to display and introduce their goods and services in Vietnam, must hire traders to provide services to display and introduce Vietnamese goods and services. perform.
