1. Residency through Investment 

Based on their investment in Vietnam, foreigners can be granted TRC:

Foreign investors and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with capital contribution value from VND 100 billion, or into prioritized sectors or professions or geographical areas determined by the government.

Up to 10 years

DT2

Foreign investors and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with a capital ranging from VND 50 billion to VND 100 billion or into encouraged sectors or professions or geographical areas determined by the government.

Up to 05 years

DT3

Foreign investors and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with a contributed capital between VND 3 billion and VND 50 billion.

Up to 03 years

DT4

Foreign investors and representatives of foreign organizations investing in Vietnam with a contributed capital of less than VND 03 billion. (Not applicable at this time)

Up to 01 year

2. Work residency

To be granted TRCs for work, foreigners need valid work permits or work permit exemptions.

3. Visiting relatives (TT)

TRCs with TT symbol are issued to foreigners who are spouses or children under 18 years of age of foreigners who are granted TRC with symbols DT1, DT2, DT3, LD1, LD2 above.
